Leonard Sheil has visited and made short films of some well known Irish Lighthouse locations. These video diaries explore the places, atmospheres, sounds and natural habitats. They suggest what the isolation, disconnection and exposure to the elements might have been like. Not viewed from a historian’s or technician’s perspective, the videos explore the “Spirit” of the place. (For more detailed biography see attached.

Martyn Taig-soundtrack

Martyn a has had a deep regard for the sea since childhood. He is an avid reader of maritime history and also has a considerable amount of experience sailing. Martyn is an artist and illustrator who has a talent for sounds and capturing an atmosphere. He has a unique sense of each project, which he uses to compose music that intrinsically captures the moment.

He has worked in the advertising and graphics for over twenty years,in Ireland Britain and Australia and is a highly regarded technical illustrator and well as musician.
